Lots to talk about today! First of all I managed to squeeze in a few hours in on Winter Fairy Spirit for the PR sal last weekend. Between going to Columbus for a housewarming & visiting Grandma with Hubby & the kids, I didn't get as much as I wanted but I'm good with my progress.
Before:

After:

Secondly, I finished Adia, the Garden Fairy for Kathy in the Mira RR 2011. She is so pretty. She is definitely going on the to do list! I even have the fabby picked out. I have to do a floss toss & finish  my wips. Here is my piece:

Kathy's whole piece so far:

Lastly my next piece, coincidentally stitched by Kathy, is done! It looks stunning so far! So much better than I was even expecting! Kathy's piece:

Lots of pictures this week. Thanks for looking!

I thought I would never get done with the beads on this section, lol.  I hate them but it is worth it.  This weekend I finished out that one skirt section with beads and finishing flowers and silver lace.  Just two more sections on the dress and then I will be almost done.  Hopefully soon.
I have a few days off and the end of the week so I hope to get a lot done :).  I am ready to get her finished....I love her, but the blue is a lot.

I finished the first corner ornament........ Well almost, I have a bit of outer border to do.   Anyways here is a picture...........

I do have a question for anyone who has finished this.  Around the lanterns is supposed to be backstitched in black. On the directions it says only on the lines in the chart but I can't tell what to backstitch, Can anyone help?

Hope everyone is doing well. I know this is a couple of days late. I have been busy. Over the weekend Hubby got his Step dad's 68 Vet. She needs lots of TLC. Hubby has been tearing her apart so he can start getting her fixed.  On Tuesday I finally got the last piece of wallpaper down! woo hoo! Wednesday I spent all day getting the 7" of rain water off of the pool cover so we can use it with all this heat we have. Wednesday evening Hubby & I washed the walls & filled in spots on the walls that needed touched up. Today I'm going to watch Maria perform at her drama camp. Then later today I'm going to tape up the wall so we can start painting.
Friday is the first day of the PR sal. If you would like to join please sign up on their yuku page: http://theworldofpassionericamo.yuku.com/topic/2871/master/1/#.TigtwmHbzbo

This is my progress on Morning Fae from Passione Ricamo.  I have modified the dress to simplify it and left off the tattoos/vines.  The only thing left to stitch now are the beautiful wings which is why I love this piece in the first place.  She is being stitched on 32 count lugana (legacy) by picture this plus.

This was started as part of the Mirabilia Yuku board Mermaid SAL but I've thrown the rotation schedule in the bin and intend to keep stitching til she's done now!

I have stitched the top and the conch shell but it doesn't all fit on my scanner!  You can see how much bling there will be from the gaps.  I am currently stitching both seahorses then the border.  After that it'll be the metallic and the beads to finish.

The fabric is a 32 count Murano fromThe Crafty Kitten.

There are progress photos on a special page on my blog.

I stitch again my Queen's farmhouse. I often visit Versailles' castle because I live very near. It's very beautiful!

What a weekend. It was another run-run weekend! Sunday we started doing some renovations to the house. Hubby took out the plantation shutters that were nailed in above the half wall between the living room & the entryway. After Hubby got it out, I puttied the holes. Today I sanded the wall down. Need to apply the second coat though. Then we started removing the wall paper in the dining room.
Last week I started working on Adia, the Garden Fairy for Kathy's piece on the Mira RR. I didn't get quite as much done as I was hoping but I did make a good dent in her. But I had to go to the doctors Friday. I pulled a muscle in my chest & was having some chest pain from it. It also seems like the tendonitis in my hand is getting worse so I have to shorten my stitching periods. :( Well, here she is:

Yay, managed to get 10 hours of stitching in on the DSOTM Pirate Queen.  Speaking of Dark Side of the Moon did you see her new design?  Check it out here.  It is Vana and the Dragons.

So Here is Pirate Queen, and back to Morning Fae for me.

I've been working quite a bit on my Desert Landscapes Mandala recently, and finally finished part one last night! Even though I've stitched other Chatelaine designs, I am just so amazed at the intricacies of them.  Now I need to get to work on Autumn Fairy - I have the feeling I'm going to fall behind (with so many things going on), as much as I wanted to keep up... I'm sure no one else has had that problem, right? :)

Now that it is actually beginning to look something like the model photo, I feel comfortable in posting a progress photo. TW designs depend heavily on back-stitching. Compare the back-stitched rose at lower center with the un-back-stitched rose on the upper left and you'll see what I mean. The one not yet back-stitched looks rather messy with all those quarter stitches going every which way, exposing the background fabric. Even so, I'll be waiting till I complete page two of the chart before I do any more back-stitching ... it has to be done in a specific order to define the design properly.

on Polstitches Big Bang.  I love this fabric the picture does not do it justice.  So here is about an hour and a half work on it so far.  It is has gotten me wanting to stitch.  So I will do about 10 hours on it and then back to Morning Fae for at least 5 and onward, I think this is going to keep me motivated.

This isn't much of an update, I have really got into a rut and not stitching much.  I decided it is definitely time to get into a rotation to get myself moving.  So, here is a picture of Morning Fae as of now, not a lot of progress

My rotation will include:
Pirate Queen by Dark Side of the Moon(on Big Bang from Polstitches)
Spring Fairy by Joan Elliott (thank you secret sister) on Fairy Dreams by Polstitches
Fancy Fairy by Joan Elliott on Polstitches Summer Breeze
Pansy by Nora Corbett on unknown fabric
Rose Goddess by Joan Elliott on Polstitches Colorful Clouds
Sweet Pea by Nora Corbet on Silkweaver Opalescent solo
September Sapphire Fairy by Mirabilia on Polstitches Sky HIgh
Eclipse by Fire Wing Designs on Polstitches Toffee Popsicle
Bluebell by Nora Corbett on Dyeing4U (yes I still have a piece) Mint Julep
Inspiration by Rosewood Manor on Silkweaver Tawny Sparkle Belfast Linen (already about 1/3 done)

So hopefully it will spur me on!!

Have a Good Week!
